Burg Hohnstein

We have arrived at Burg Hohnstein after a bus ride of about 4 hours on a comfortable twenty seater bus. Our kind bus driver Wolfgang  stopped at McDonald's for lunch and everyone ate up large. When we got to our hostel we were amazed by its position on a big rock overlooking a valley and a small town of only 800 inhabitants. The boys were challenged by the task of making their beds but succeeded eventually. During the guided tour of the hostel we learned about its gruesome history which dates back to the 1300s.
In the evening the girls made sure that Sean's birthday was celebrated properly. He had been given a cake by his host families which we all shared after dinner. We look forward to going to Dresden tomorrow.
